Things to Do Before Easter in Houston
- Easter Bunny at Katy Mills Mall | Now through Saturday, April 8 – Hop on over to Katy Mills for a photo with the Easter Bunny. Photo packages are $39.99 and up. Times vary.
- Easter Bunny at the Woodlands Mall | Now through Saturday, April 8 – Book your photo sesh with the Easter Bunny when he stops by the Woodlands Mall to kick off April. Photo packages are $39.99 and up. Times vary.
- Easter Spring Festival at Bellaire Recreation Center | Saturday, April 1 | FREE – Near Evelyn’s Park, the rec center offers an Easter festival with bounce houses, a giant slide, games and train rides, plus photo ops with the Easter Bunny. 9am to 11am.
- Easter Egg Hunt at Meador Park in Seabrook | Saturday, April 1 | FREE – Kiddos at this community event will grab an Easter Excursion Passport to take with them on trails through the park as they collect Easter goodies, with complimentary hot dogs. 10am to noon.
- Spring Festival 2023 at Clear Lake Community Center | Saturday, April 1 – Take part in an Easter egg hunt alongside games, train rides photos with the Bunny and more in Clear Lake. 10am to 2pm.
- Spring Fest 2023 at Houston’s First Baptist Church | Saturday, April 1 | FREE – The Downtown church hosts the free, campus-wide Spring Fest 2023—an all-ages, family friendly event with games, inflatables, a rock climbing wall, train rides, basketball, snacks, an Easter Egg Hunt for young kids, and more. 11am to 2pm.
- Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival in Fifth Ward | Saturday, April 1 | FREE – The 10th annual edition of this festival celebrates the history, art and culture of Houston’s Fifth Ward. Expect stages playing authentic blues, hip-hop, rock and gospel, plus down-home cooking, soul food, Creole cuisine and BBQ. This family-friendly festival also features an Easter egg drop by helicopter, where kiddos can scramble for more than 50,000 goodie-filled eggs. Noon to 5pm.
- Easter After Dark at Westminster UMC | Saturday, April 1 | FREE – In the Tanglewood neighborhood, this all-ages Easter egg hunt requires busting out the flashlights at this glow-in-the-dark Easter celebration, complete with music and entertainment, as well as local bites from food trucks. 6pm.

- Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Moody Gardens | Saturday, April 1 to Saturday, April 8 – Pull up a seat with the Easter Bunny at this annual Galveston breakfast that also includes a train ride, animal presentation and a special souvenir photo. $42; $28 for ages 2 to 12. Times vary.
- Easter Egg Farm Days at P-6 Farms | Saturday, April 1 to Sunday, April 9 – On weekends to start April, the Montgomery farm will again host an Easter celebration with vintage amusement rides, fun farm attractions, and photos with the Easter Bunny. $10.95 and up. 10am to 5pm.
- Brunch with the Bunny at Brennan’s of Houston | Friday, April 7 – The annual brunch event returns to the Southern Creole institution, serving up a three-course brunch alongside photos with the Easter Bunny. Prices vary; reservations required. 9:30am to 1pm.
- Easter Egg Hunt with Goats at Rose Therapeutic Farm in Fulshear | Friday, April 7 & Saturday, April 8 – Trek out to this wellness farm west of Katy for morning or afternoon sessions of Easter egg hunts and other family-friendly activities among adorable goats. $20 and up. Times vary.
- Easter Egg Hunt at Seawolf Park in Galveston | Saturday, April 8 | FREE – On the east side of the Island, families are invited for a morning of Easter egg hunts, photo ops with the Easter Bunny, face painting, music, game, free donuts and cotton candy, and more. Free to attend; parking is $6. 9am to 1pm.
- Easter Orange Art Car Hunt at Smither Park | Saturday, April 8 | FREE – A 39-year-old tradition at the Orange Show, this free and creative Easter egg hunt is for the whole family with hundreds of candy-filled eggs, prizes and oranges, of course. Plus, you can enjoy live music and see a selection of Art Cars on display. 10am to 1pm.
- Easter Egg Hunt at George Ranch Historical Park | Saturday, April 8 – In Fort Bend, the annual egg hunt returns to George Ranch, offering a chance for the family to gather eggs and learn a little Texas history. Make an afternoon of it by packing your own picnic lunch to sit among 100-year-old oaks and relax. $15; $10 for ages 5 to 12; free for ages 4 and under. Egg hunts at 11am and 1pm; park hours are 9am to 5pm.

- Easter at Old Town Spring | Saturday, April 8 | FREE – The historic shopping and dining destination in Spring welcomes in the Easter Bunny for an afternoon celebration with egg hunts, balloon art, a baking sale, egg decorating and face painting, and more. 11am to 1pm.
- 2nd Annual Easter Party & Crawfish Boil at Feges BBQ Spring Branch | Saturday, April 8 | No Cover – The Spring Branch outpost of the pitmasters celebrates the holiday with an egg hunt for two age groups, Easter Bunny photos (starting at 11:30am), live music and a crawfish boil. Prices vary. 11am to 2pm.
- Easter Fun at the Arab American Center | Saturday, April 8 | FREE – In Southwest Houston, you can gather with a large congregation of Arab Christians for a fun celebration of Easter with a cultural touch of bilingual songs and dance, free Easter Bunny photos, and an egg hunt, plus an appearance and book signing by author Nancy Zakhour who shares her story, Elissa and the World of Olives. Noon to 2pm.
- Egg Scavenger Hunt at Czech Center Museum Houston | Saturday, April 8 – Register your kiddos from ages 3 to 11 and take to the Czech Center grounds for a decorated egg hunt. Then, stick around and explore the collection of Czech, Slovak and European artwork, as well as the mural work of Madelline Vicencio in the Color Over the Border exhibition. $10; $7 for ages 6 to 15; free for ages 5 and under. 12:30pm to 1pm (museum hours 11am to 4pm).
- Adult Easter Egg Hunt at SpindleTap Brewery | Saturday, April 8 – The North Houston brewery hosts its first ever egg hunt for ages 21 and up, sending participants scrambling SpindlePark for lucky eggs with merch prizes, cash prizes and tokens. One lucky seeker can also find the coveted golden egg with $500. $25; includes one beer. 1pm; brewery hours from 11am to 10pm.
- Easter Paw-ty at Little Woodrow’s EaDo | Saturday, April 8 | No Cover – Bring your pup for an afternoon for the dogs at Little Woodrow’s in East Downtown. You’ll be able to enjoy ice cold drinks while pups play and enjoy toys, treats, and Easter egg hunt and more. Need a pal for the event? The Houston Weenie Wagon will be onsite for adoptions. 5pm.

- Easter Scavenger Hunt at Galveston’s Own Farmers Market | FREE – Kids of all ages can stop by the Society for Neuroscience Galveston booth to start a Market Scavenger Hunt and then search around the market for clues, all for a sweet goodie bag with tasty treats for the first 50 kiddos. Other craft activities on-site help round out an Easter morning in Galveston. 9am to 1pm.
- Easter Brunch at Pinstripes – The Upper Kirby spot hosts an Easter Sunday celebration with brunch buffet, bottomless mimosas and aperol spritzes, plus an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Buffet is $35; $15 for ages 6 to 12; free for ages 5 and under. 10am to 3pm.
- Easter Brunch at Backstreet Café – Enjoy a lovely live jazz Easter Sunday brunch inside or in the courtyard at this River Oaks charmer, starting with rhubarb-strawberry muffins for the table and moving onto choices such as chilled creamy artichoke soup, Gulf Coast seafood beignets, braised lamb shank with mushroom pan jus, crawfish and artichoke eggs benedict, and traditional carrot cake. $56; $15 per child, plus tax and gratuity. 10am to 3:30pm.
- Easter Egg Hunt at Railway Market – The airy market on Washington Avenue hosts an afternoon event for Easter Sunday, offering sack races, games, face painting, the annual Easter egg hunt, and photos with the Bunny. Egg Hunt registration is $10, with hunts for various age groups at 11am, noon and 1pm. 11am to 2pm.
- Easter Brunch at the San Luis Resort – Start your Easter with a luxurious brunch buffet of seafood, premium meats, salads and decadent desserts at this resort overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. While you dine, enjoy live music and mimosas or brunch cocktails, plus get a chance to meet the Easter Bunny and take part in an egg hunt after brunch service. $119; $45 for ages 4 to 12. 11am to 2pm.
- Easter Brunch & Buffet at Moody Gardens – Take to Moody Gardens for one of two Easter Sunday dining options; the Hotel will host an Easter brunch in the ballroom, while the Garden Restaurant serves up a buffet with omelet and carving stations, seafood, assorted fruits, cheeses, desserts and more. Brunch is $85; $40 for ages 4 to 12. Buffest is $50; $30 for ages 4 to 12. 11am to 4pm.
- Bunnies on the Bayou 44 at Sesquicentennial Park – The nonprofit fundraiser for Houston’s LGBTQIA+ community returns to the shores of Buffalo Bayou with their signature annual outdoor festival, with cocktails and beer on offer, plenty of dancing and live DJs, games, and more. $55 and up. 1pm to 6pm.
- Champagne Charles Heidsieck Cup at Houston Polo Club – Kick off the spring polo season with a special Easter match day featuring an Easter egg and candy toss for kids at halftime. Plus, enjoy live music and onsite concessions from David Cordúa’s The Lymbar. $35; $15.50 for ages 12 and under. Boxes for 2 to 20 guests range from $89 to $895. 5pm.
